This free tool will query a server/website on all the major ports/services and indicate wether they are operative (and available), returning either a FAIL or OK status.   6. Port 22 - SSH (Secure Shell)
  7. Port 23 - Telnet
  8. Port 25 - SMTP (Send Mail Transfer Protocol)
  9. Port 43 - whois
  10. Port 53 - DNS (Domain Name Service)
  11. Port 68 - DHCP (Dynamic Host Control Protocol)
  12. Port 79 - Finger
  13. Port 80 - HTTP (HyperText Transfer Protocol)
  14. Port 110 - POP3 (Post Office Protocol, version 3)
  15. Port 115 - SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol)
  16. Port 119 - NNTP (Network New Transfer Protocol)
  17. Port 123 - NTP (Network Time Protocol)
  18. Port 137 - NetBIOS-ns
  19. Port 138 - NetBIOS-dgm
  20. Port 139 - NetBIOS
  21. Port 143 - IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol)
  22. Port 161 - SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol)
  23. Port 194 - IRC (Internet Relay Chat)
  24. Port 220 - IMAP3 (Internet Message Access Protocol 3)
  25. Port 389 - LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol)
  26. Port 443 - SSL (Secure Socket Layer)
  27. Port 445 - SMB (NetBIOS over TCP)
  28. Port 666 - Doom
  29. Port 993 - SIMAP (Secure Internet Message Access Protocol)
  30. Port 995 - SPOP (Secure Post Office Protocol)
  32. Note: not every server will have all of the above services enabled (or available to the whole internet). Any many cases the above services will be restricted or behind a firewall.
